PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE CREATING YOUR ACCOUNT. By creating an account or using the Trip Planner, map, or other information on pinetreetrail.com, you agree to the following, in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Information only — no warranty of accuracy or availability. All trail routes, business listings, boat launches, landmarks, mile markers, and map locations on this site are provided for general information only. We compile them from public and third-party sources and do not guarantee they are current, complete, open, safe, or accessible at the time of your trip. Conditions change, businesses open and close, and access points, trails, and road conditions may differ from what is shown. It is your responsibility to verify everything with official sources, posted signs, and local authorities before you travel or rely on it.

2. Assumption of inherent risk. Travel and outdoor recreation along the route — including driving US Route 1 and US Route 2, hiking, biking, boating, and using public boat launches — carry inherent risks that cannot be eliminated. These include sudden weather, hazardous terrain and roads, changing water levels and currents, loss of cell and GPS service in remote areas such as the Maine North Woods, and wildlife encounters. You voluntarily assume all risks of personal injury, illness, death, and property damage arising from your use of the route and this site.

3. Release for ordinary negligence. To the fullest extent allowed by Maine law, you release Pine Tree Trail's Custom Creations LLC, AKA PTTCC LLC d/b/a pinetreetrail.com and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims for property damage, personal injury, illness, or death arising from ordinary negligence, including errors or inaccuracies in the trip planner or map data, outdated information, or your reliance on any route or content from this site. This release does not apply to gross negligence or willful misconduct, or to any rights that cannot be waived under Maine law.

4. Indemnification. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PTTCC LLC and its owners, members, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the site, your violation of this agreement, our Terms of Service, or any law, or your participation in any activity or visit to any location described on the site.

5. Governing law. This agreement is governed by Maine law, and any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Bangor, Maine.
